Rhythm Development ("Rhythm," "we," "us") runs a membership community app connecting people through in-person events, perks, and habit tracking in Toronto. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to rhythmdev.co, app.rhythmdev.co, and the Rhythm mobile app.

1. Information we collect

We collect information in three ways: what you give us directly, what's generated by using the app, and what you choose to share for specific features.

Account & profile. Name, email address, age, gender, neighbourhood/city, occupation and company, industry, interests, a short bio, what you're looking for in the community, and a profile photo. If you apply to join, we also collect your answers about fit, intent, and commitment, and one professional link (e.g. LinkedIn, Instagram, or a work email) used only to help us review applications by hand — this is not a government ID or biometric check.

Community activity. Posts, comments, and photos you choose to share; events you host or RSVP to; ratings and written reviews of other members after events; reports you file about other members or content; and your points, streaks, and leaderboard position, which are calculated from the activity above.

Habit tracker. The habits you define and your daily completions. Your tracker is visible to other approved members by default, same as the rest of your profile — but you can make your entire tracker private at any time, in which case no one but you can see it.

Location (optional). If you turn on location sharing to find nearby members or events, your device's coordinates are used only on your own device to calculate distance — we never send this to, or store it on, our servers. Turning it off deletes it from your device immediately.

Payment information. Membership and merchandise purchases are processed entirely by Stripe. We never receive or store your card number — Stripe shares back only your plan, billing status, and renewal date.

Device & notifications (mobile app only). The app can schedule a daily reminder notification entirely on your device. We don't collect a push token or send notifications from a server.

2. What we don't collect

We don't use third-party advertising trackers, ad pixels, or cross-app analytics SDKs. We don't sell your information to anyone, for any reason.

3. How we use your information

4. Who we share it with

We use a small number of service providers to run Rhythm, each of whom only receives what they need to do their job:

Within the app itself, your profile, posts, ratings, and (unless made private) habit tracker are visible to other approved members — that visibility is the core of how the community works, not a third-party disclosure. We don't share your information with outside companies for their own marketing purposes.

5. How long we keep it

We keep your information for as long as your account is active, plus a reasonable period afterward for recordkeeping (e.g. billing history, safety reports). If you ask us to delete your account, we'll remove your profile and personal content; some records (like payment history or safety reports involving other members) may be retained longer where we have a legitimate reason to do so.

6. Your choices

To exercise any of these, email us at hello@rhythmdev.co — we'll respond within a reasonable time.

7. Children

Rhythm is not directed at, and is not intended for use by, anyone under 18. Every membership is reviewed by hand before approval, and we don't knowingly collect information from minors.

8. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the date at the top and let active members know. Continued use of Rhythm after a change means you accept the update.

9. Contact us
